A Summer Camp Adventure Just For Pre-Teens
As your kids get older, their interests and needs change. Choosing the right camp can become more difficult, because they don’t want to be lumped in with a bunch of little kids. They do want to feel valued, included, and challenged.
They want to have an adventure.
MKDC’s Heartwood program is full of imaginative programming that sparks creativity and provides lots of opportunity for choice, which means campers go home with more confidence in themselves and their abilities.
Morning – one “home cabin” period, followed by major elective program (choose one for the week – see below)
Afternoon – Choose Your Own Adventure, water sports/games, special events
2025 Majors

Please Note: Although the official “cut off” age for the Heartwood program is 12, we will sometimes accept registrations from 13 year old campers who still want to experience the programming of camp but aren’t interested in, or quite ready for, the FIREFLY program. If you have questions about this, please contact us. We will do our best to accommodate reasonable requests.
Let us take you on a virtual tour!Request more information and we’ll send you our Virtual Brochure – a visual walkthrough of our entire program. (A great way to talk about camp with your future camper!) |
