Is my 3 year old able to come to camp if he/she is turning 4 in the fall?

Unfortunately, due to the Child Care and Early Years Act that was recently passed, day camps in Ontario are no longer legally able to accept campers under the age of 4 unless we obtain a Day Nursery License – which given the nature of camp is nearly impossible to do. Unfortunately when they passed this law they made the cutoff based on the calendar year and NOT the school year, meaning all campers must have already turned four on their first camp day.

(Note: Any camp that tells you that they ARE able to take a three year old, unless they can show you a copy of their license, is in breach of the law and is actually subject to prosecution).
