A Summer Camp Adventure Just For Pre-Teens
As your kids get older, their interests and needs change. Choosing the right camp can become more difficult, because they don’t want to be lumped in with a bunch of little kids. They do want to feel valued, included, and challenged.
They want to have an adventure.
MKDC’s Heartwood program is full of imaginative programming that sparks creativity and provides lots of opportunity for choice, which means campers go home with more confidence in themselves and their abilities.
Morning – one “home cabin” period, followed by major elective program (choose one for the week – see below)
Afternoon – Choose Your Own Adventure, water sports/games, special events
2023 Majors
Please note: Space in each major is limited based on staffing, resources and space requirements – register early to avoid disappointment. Campers who are absent on one or more days may not be able to complete project-based majors. Click on the names of the majors for a program description.
